It seems that the lexile is higher

Thanks for posting. Please know that Lexile is one aspect of measuring text complexity. It is a quantitative measure that we receive directly from Lexile. According to Lexile, a Lexile level is determined by “the frequency of its words and the lengths of its sentences. Research has shown that word frequency can be used as a proxy for vocabulary difficulty, and sentence length can be used as a proxy for sentence complexity. Sentence length carries more weight in the Lexile equation than word frequency does.” The ReadWorks grade level assignment is based on additional factors, including appropriate subject matter and interest levels (since Lexile does not take those considerations into account).

Thank you!

Used it for Theme in my guided reading group.

Just what I need to teach theme. Perfect theme for my students to relate to. Thanks.

I need this for my kids so much
