An excellent passage that has great language arts and science correlation.

We do a unit on honey bees each year. I have a beekeeper come in each year and show the students what it takes to be a beekeeper. She brings an active hive (encased in glass of course), and lets them extract honey from the combs. I look forward to it each year. This is a good addition to our unit. Thanks!

We also bring in beekeepers for the third grade students, and they get to see an active hive, see beeswax products, and role play the different types of bees in the hive. The passages I found in ReadWorks on Bees have greatly prepared my students for this presentation.

thanks

my students enjoyed this passage on bees

Discussing the necessity to Save The Bees in Science! This is excellent!

It's very fabulous to use with my students . Thanks a lot.

I'm looking forward to using these passages as close reads. I just presented personal development to my school and Read Works was a large portion of my presentation.

Excellent! Thanks.
